Withdrawal Pull Gauges for Effectiveness of Contact (BS1363-2 Figure 16)

1. Introduction

The withdrawal pull gauges for effectiveness of contact is designed according to BS1363-2 figure 16 and clause 13.6.1, BS1363-3 figure 16 and clauses 13.5.3 & 13.11.1,  for verifying the capability of the earth socket contact (figure 16a), line and neutral current-carrying socket contacts (figure 16b) of a socket – outlet to withstand stresses induced by incorrect insertion of a plug. The mass of the gauges is 227g~228.5g.
