Gauges for Three-Pin Flat-Pin Plugs ( AS/NZS 3112 figure A1)
1. Introduction
The gauges for three-pin flat pin plugs are designed according to AS/NZS 3112 figure A1 and clauses 2.8.1 & 2.8.4 &2.13.7.1 & 2.13.7, for routine inspection of three-pin flat-pin plugs and two-pin flat-pin plugs, and dimension inspection of the pins before performing bending test and after free-fall test.
The disposition of pins in flat-pin plugs of types shown in figure 2.1 (a) and figure 2.1(c) shall be checked with this gauge, the plug pins shall pass easily through the gauge at all depths of insertion.
