Recently, a customer from Greece ordered the IK code impact testing machine from Pego. However, for privacy reasons, we will not publish the name of our customer, but we thank very much for their honest reviews, they said “We have used it several times and we can confirm that it works very well!”
They bought the IK code testing machine for testing the electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS). The standards revolved in EVCS specified that the charging station shall withstand appropriate mechanical strength. For example, the standard IEC61851-1 clause 12.11 mentioned that for model 2 EV supply equipment, the minimum degree of protection of the external enclosure against mechanical impact shall be IK08 according to IEC62262.
Besides the mechanical strength test, the EV charger also should perform the IP tests, for example, the indoor use should withstand the IP41 grade at least, and outdoor use should withstand the IP44 grade at least.
