1nF Impulse Voltage Generator
1. Introduction
The 1nF impulse voltage generator (high voltage surge generator) can meet the test requirements of IEC60065 clause 10.1 and IEC62368-1 annex D.2 (circuit 3). It’s subjected to 50 discharges at a maximum rate of 12/min, from a 1nF capacitor charged to 10KV in a test circuit, as shown in IEC60065 figure 5a and 5b and IEC62368-1 figure D.2.
