Cordless Appliance Withdrawn Life Test Equipment

1.Introduction

The withdrawn life test equipment is designed to meet the test requirements of IEC60335-2-3: 2005 clause 22.105, IEC60335-2-15: 2012 clause 22.103 and IEC60335-2-14 clause 22.103 for testing cordless irons, cordless kettles, cordless coffee makers and cordless blenders, the connection contacts of cordless appliances shall be constructed to withstand stresses, so that any electrical or mechanical failure occurring in normal use will not give rise to a hazard.
The two live pins of the appliance are connected together and an external resistive load is connected in series with the supply. The external load is such that the current is 1.1 times rated current, and then, the base of the sample is subjected to a certain number of withdrawn life tests at a rate of 10 times/min through the motor-driven lifting mechanism; after that, the sample is subjected to a withdrawn life tests without energized. The equipment is built-in 250V/16A load, the number of test can be preset, and automatically record test times and conductive times, after reach the preset test times, the equipment will auto stop.
