Splash Test Apparatus
Overview

The splash test apparatus meets the requirements of IEC60335-2-75 clause 15.1.1 and figure 101, IEC60335-2-64 clause 15.1.1 and 15.1.2, IEC60335-2-26 clause 15.1.1 and figure 101 for testing the commerical electric cooking appliances, like oven and hob with IP grade IPX1 to IPX4.

Splash Test Apparatus (PG-SPA)

1.Introduction

The splash test apparatus can meet the requirements of IEC60335-2-75 clause 15.1.1 and figure 101, IEC60335-2-64, IEC60335-2-26 figure 101. The PX1, IPX2, IPX3 and IPX4 appliances (like oven, hob and hob elements) should perform the splash test for 5 min. The whole device is made of aluminum sheet, and can move freely with wheels. The nozzle, bowl and hose are made of stainless steel. And equip with pressure gauge to real time to display the water pressure.

The water pressure is so regulated that water splashed up 150mm above the bottom of the bowl. Place the bowl on the floor for appliances normally used on the floor. For all other appliances, on a horizontal support 50mm below the lowest edge of the appliance, the bowl is so moved around as to splash the appliance from all directions. Take care that the appliance is not hit by the direct jet. The splash test lasts for 5min.
