Overview

The torque apparatus is designed according to IEC (EN) 60238:2016 clause 16.2 to 16.4 and figure 6, it is applied to check the mechanical strength of the outer shell, the screw shell and the dome of lampholders

1. Introduction

The torque apparatus is designed according to IEC (EN) 60238:2016 clause 16.2 to 16.4 and figure 6, it is applied to check the mechanical strength of the outer shell, the screw shell and the dome of lampholders by screwing a test cap into the specimen, and then apply a torque to the specimen for 1 min, the specimen should not show any change impairing its normal use. The test caps (E14A, E14B, E27 and E40) designed according to IEC60238 figure 13, figure 14 and figure 15 are optional.
