The static wind-force test for lighting fixtures refers to simulating the situation of streetlights or floodlights installed at heights outdoors, by applying certain static loads, torque, or weight to test and evaluate the load – bearing capacity and stability of the lighting fixtures under specified wind forces and installation heights.

1. Introduction

The static wind-force test apparatus is designed to meet the test requirements of IEC60598-2-3:2011 clause 3.6.3.1 & figure 1 and IEC60598-2-5 clause 5.6.5, the equipment consists of sandbag, net, weight and test rig.
