6. Test Steps:

 Mount each specimen on a vertical surface with the plane through the socket-contacts horizontal. Then insert the corresponding test plug into the socket-outlet and hang a weight (5N), and remove the test plug after 1min, and then turn the mounting fixture of socket-outlet through 900 to repeat the test. Repeat the test for 4 times, turn the socket-outlet through 900 after each engagement. During the tests, the device shall not become disengaged from the socket-outlet. After the tests, the socket-outlets shall show no damage within the meaning of this standard.

 

Through this test, it can ensure that the socket can withstand the lateral stress generated when insert the electrical device in actual use, thereby ensuring the safety and reliability of use.
