Master IPX3 and IPX4 Testing with Pego’s High – Performance Spray Nozzle

Spray Nozzle: Your Ideal Choice for IPX3 and IPX4 Testing

In the world of product waterproof testing, the IPX3 and IPX4 standards set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) play a crucial role. These standards ensure that products can withstand water ingress in various forms, whether it’s angled water spray in IPX3 or splashing water from all directions in IPX4. And when it comes to accurate and reliable testing under these standards, Pego’s spray nozzle stands out as the top – tier solution.

Exceptional Design and Performance

The spray nozzle is the core component of IPX3/4 hand – held testing device, made from high – quality brass, it offers outstanding corrosion resistance. This means it can endure long – term exposure to water and different water quality conditions without degradation, ensuring consistent and reliable performance throughout its lifespan.

With a total of 121 holes, the nozzle’s design is meticulously crafted. There’s 1 hole at the center, 2 inner circles of 12 holes at a 30° pitch, and 4 outer circles of 24 holes at a 15° pitch, each with a diameter of 0.5mm. This unique layout evenly distributes the water flow, creating a stable and standard – compliant spray or splash pattern. Whether you’re conducting an IPX3 test, where water needs to be sprayed at a specific 60° angle to the vertical, or an IPX4 test for all – direction splashing, Pego’s spray nozzle delivers precise results.

Paired with a pressure gauge and valve, Pego’s IPX3/4 hand – held device allows for easy pressure and flow rate control. The water pressure can be adjusted within the range of 50Kpa to 150Pa to achieve the specified delivery rate. User can effortlessly monitor the water pressure through the pressure gauge and make real – time adjustments using the valve, ensuring accurate and repeatable test conditions.

Unmatched Flexibility and Ease of Use

The IPX3/4 hand – held device comes with an aluminum moving shield. This simple yet effective feature adds to the nozzle’s versatility. During IPX3 tests, the shield can be positioned to adjust the water spray angle precisely to 60° from the vertical. For IPX4 tests, simply removing the shield enables all – direction splashing. This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of products, from small electronics to larger components.

IPX3-IPX4Compared to the oscillating tube, spray nozzle offers a more straightforward and user – friendly solution. Its structure is relatively simple, consisting mainly of the nozzle body and spray holes. As a hand – held device, it has a small volume, providing greater flexibility in operation. You can easily reach every part of the product under test, ensuring comprehensive coverage. In cases where the oscillating tube may not be able to wet all parts of the enclosure, the spray nozzle shines, allowing for a test duration of 1min/m2 of the calculated surface area of the enclosure, with a minimum of 5min. User can even use multiple spray nozzles simultaneously by fixing them with a bracket for more efficient testing.
