What is black test corner?
Temperature rising test corner also be called as black test corner, due to the test corner is made of dull black painted plywood. The plywood has approximately 20mm thick. And thermocouples used for determining the temperature rise are attached to the back of small blacked disks of copper. The temperature rising test system mainly consists of a test corner, thermocouples, multiplex temperature meter and etc.. Place the electronics device in the test corner, and then set the corresponding test conditions according to more practical needs, such as heating time, heating power, heating voltage/current. When the EUT reaches the working state, the thermocouples will measure the temperature of EUT in real time, then surface temperature will be recorded by temperature meter. After complete the test, the surface temperature rise value of the electronic product is calculated and compared with the standard requirements like the table 3 of standard IEC60335-1.
