IPX1 to IPX6 Comprehensive Waterproof Test Chamber

1.Introduction

IPX1-6 waterproof test chamber combines the drip box, oscillating tube and jet hose nozzles in one system. The test chamber can meet the test requirements of IEC60529 regarding the IP level IPX1, IPX2, IPX3, IPX4, IPX5 and IPX6. Waterproof test simulates the condition of vertical water drops, water spraying/splashing, water jets and powerful water jets. The tests are mainly applied to electronic products, luminaire, electric components, motor and house-holding appliance. The waterproof test can help to judge the products’ performance, and provide the basis for design, improvement and inspection.

The test chamber mainly consists by test tunsel and test chamber. The jet nozzles are placed in the test tunsel. And drip box, oscillating tube and turntable are installed on the test chamber. The jet nozzles are for IPX5 and IPX6 testing. The drip box is for IPX1 and IPX2 testing. The oscillating tube is for IPX3 and IPX4 testing.  The test chamber includes water tank and with ball valve to control water level, the water can be recycled. The system is controlled by Panasonic PLC and 7 inch touch screen, user is easy to operate the tests.
