Detailed Analysis on the different Types of IPX12 Drip Box Waterproof Testing Equipment

IPX1 and IPX2 test is made with a device which produces a uniform flow of water drops over the whole area of the enclosure. According to the IEC60529 and ISO20653 standard, the requirements as follows:

The IPX1 test requests the vertically dripping water shall have no harmful effect when the enclosure is fixed in normal position, the duration of test is 10 minutes, equivalent to 1 mm / minute.
The IPX2 test requests vertically dripping water shall have no harmful effect when the enclosure is tilted at an angle 15° from its normal position, the total duration of test is 10 minutes (2.5min in each of 4 fixed positions of tilt) and the water equivalent to 3 mm/minute.
