10/700μs, 5/320μs Combination Wave Lightning Surge Generator
1. Introduction
The 10/700μs, 5/320μs combination lightning surge generator is designed to meet the test requiremesnt of IEC61000-4-5. The generator is to test ports intended for connection to outdoor symmetrical communication lines, like communication equipment and communication lines.
Lightning surge generator is to simulate the surge voltage caused by switching transient and lightning transient. The surge immunity test is a destructive test to found out the surge voltage effect to EUT in normal working condition. This equipment can generate an open-circuit voltage surge 10/700μs and an open-circuit current surge 5/320μs. Interfaces are provided to connect to an external oscilloscope to monitor waveforms. The effective output impedance is 40 ohm. The test voltage can be customized, user can choose and define the test levels. the voltage and current of coupling and decoupling network can be customized, and CDN can be built-in the surge generator.
