Winding Wires Elongation Test Apparatus
Overview

The wire elongation test apparatus is designed according to the IEC60851-3 clause 4.1 and GB/T4074.3 clause 4.1. It’s used for measuring the elongation (extension) rate of enameled wires, silk-wrapped or other insulation-coated round copper wires ranging from φ0.018 mm to φ3.000 mm, as well as other metal wires with a breaking force of ≤5000 N.

Winding Wires Elongation Test Apparatus

1. Introduction

Principle:

A straight piece of wire shall be elongated to the point of fracture of the conductor at a rate of (5±1)mm/s with an elongation tester or with tensile testing equipment with a free measuring length of between 200mm and 250mm.
