Flexing Test Appratus for Testing Supply Cord
1. Introduction
Flexing test apparatus designs to meet the test requirements of IEC60320-1 clause 22.3, for applying flexing test to cord of connectors and plug connectors. The test apparatus is configure with 7 inch LCD touch screen, PLC and step motor. The flexing angle, flexing speed an test times are settable. Equip with 4KW transformer can realize the bend test for different power cord with different rated current. The clamp can adjust the swing center to meet a variety of standard requirements.
2. Flexing Test Procedure
Mounting the test samples with flat cords, so that the major axis of the section is parallel to the axis of oscillation. And cord is loaded with 20N / 10N mass, so that the force applied. Then, a current equal to the rated current of the connectors / plug connector is passed through the conductors, the voltage between them being equal to the rated voltage. The oscillating member is moved backwards are forwards through an angle of 90° (45° on either side of the vertical). The number of flexing being 10,000 and the rate of flexing being 60 per minute.
During the test, there shall be no interruption of the test current, and no short-circuit between conductors. After the test, the test sample shall show no damage.
