Free Fall Test Tumbing Barrel for Testing Connector and Plug Connector

1. Introduction

Free fall test tumbling barrel designs to meet the test requirements of IEC60068-2-31 clause 5.3/figure A.1, IEC60320-1 clause 23.2,  IEC60598-1 clause 4.13.5, IEC60884-1 clause 24.2. The repeat free fall test is to check the mechanical strength of the electrical appliances, such as plugs, socket-outlets, connector and plug connectors. Place the sample in the tumbling barrel and subjected to prescribed number of falls. The operation panel is equipped with an emergency stop button, which is convenient for stopping the test at any time.

For testing the connectors and plug connectors, the test sample shall be subjected 500 or 100 repeat free fall test. After the test, the test samples shall show no damage and no part shall have become detached or loosened which may influence the electrical safety.

Backed hardwood: plywood with thickness 10-19mm

Bevel: backed by 2 wedge-shaped chip-resistant rubber with a hardness of 80±20IRHD as per ISO48
