IEC62368-1: safety requirements for audio / video, information and communication technology equipment

DIN / EN / IEC 62368-1 is applicable to the safety of electrical and electronics equipment within the field of audio, video, information and communication technology, and business and office machines with a rated voltage not exceeding 600V.

As a new product standard, IEC 62368 – 1 replaces the previous standards IEC 60950-1 (information technology equipment) and IEC 60065 ( Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus), and is applicable to products covered by these traditional standards. Banking equipment, consumer electronics equipment, data and text processing machines and associated equipment, data network equipment, electrical and electronics retail equipment, electrical and electronic office machines, other IT equipment, postage equipment, telecommunication network infrastructure equipment, telecommunication terminal equipment shall all subject to this standard.

The following table shows the test requirements covered by IEC 62368 – 1, which are applicable to Pego’s testing equipment.
